Discover Our Mission and Vision for Animal Rescue

For 31 years, our president, Mary Adams, volunteered with the Humane Society of Jackson County. She fostered thousands of animals, established relationships with local rescues, and acted at various times as President, Vice President, and foster coordinator. ARF’s new model prioritizes local adoption, so Mary decided to start APB (Alllied Pet Brigade) because she wanted to collaborate with groups in other counties, rescue the hard luck cases, and send pets out of the area to counties where animals are in short supply. She felt strongly enough about it to start all over again. The funds you donate will help animals in adjacent counties and even adjacent states, because pet overpopulation is everywhere. Mary’s base is in Jackson County, however, and her focus is here.
