I started this rescue to help rescue, foster, and transport unwanted dogs and puppies to no-kill shelters in other states. No other Jackson County rescues are doing this service, and adoption alone can’t help as many homeless pets as transport can.

Copper had to be saved again and again
Copper was rescued in December of 2025, but his owners changed their minds. We found him again this summer, starving and flea infested. Copper needed special food to gain weight. His medical bills were more than $1000, but he is now a happy dog living on the beach thanks to our donors, Macon Moves Animal Care, and Norfolk SPCA in Virginia. Collaboration saves lives!
Sadie’s puppies.
Sadie was just a year old, but she lived at a house with multiple litters. Macon Moves Animal care saw her when they came to the home to rescue another litter. Before we could rescue her, Sadie had 10 puppies under a house. She had lost three before we arrived, but because of a collaboration of local rescues, we spayed Sadie and sent her litter to Father Johns Animal House in NJ. Sadie’s pups needed to be fostered for nine weeks, so the whole effort cost a lot in terms of medical care, food, and transportation costs.

A hoarding story
This was one of about 155 pets in a hoarding situation in Graham County, NC. We worked with Macon Moves Animal Care and law enforcement to rescue many of those animals, who have now found homes thanks to Father Johns Animal House in New Jersey.
